In Gary Barnett’s final year he took the team to the Big XII championship. In that game the Buffs were humiliated 70-3 by Texas. Barnett was fired as head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes in large part due to this disaster.
Hawkins has at least five disasters under his belt.
