Couldn't happen to a worse bunch of idiot fans…. xoxoxo, Huskers.
sCUm sCUm sCUm, go back to where ya from!

Was coming to post a similar comment as the headline. This may be the worst Division 1 team and coaching fielded in the history of NCAAF.
re: EatAFat1, "kisses and hugs"… really? the CU in scum was clever though, and I'm so proud you could make it rhyme! Next week we learn about opposites, such as "Nebraska" and "anything remotely cool". But hey to be fair at least it wasn't 68 points on a #1 ranked team by a total underdog or anything.
ps- Daniel Graham and Chris Brown told me to tell you to say hi for them to Eric Crouch, and if he could please stop asking them to bring their clunkers in for cash they'd appreciate it as they are too busy still playing football.

correction my bad, my bad, 62. In the heat of the moment I got caught up and jumbled the number 70 in there too for some reason, not sure why, must have made me think of higher numbers.

Or how about "Colorado" and "a win" or "competitive play". And you're right, let's be fair. It's not like Toledo sucks or anything…oh wait, they do. Why not go total douche bag and throw in a "just sayin"?

I hate to see this. As a Husker fan, I am not fond of the Buffs. If we're not playing them I usually want to see them win though. Sorry for the painfully rough start, hope things get turned around. FWIW, there is concern in Husker Nation that Shawn Watson could get tagged to replace Hawk if he goes. Hate to see him back in Black and Gold.
Who'd you pick for a new head coach?

Hawk boasting a 10 win season gets funnier and funnier every week. Trailerpark Buffs fans deserve to reap what they have sown.

Husker Fan, I agree that for the sake of the conference, we do need to wish a turnaround for the Buffs. Clearly Hawk has turned out to be a dismal failure. Remember, however, that when Shawn Watson left, the majority of Buffs fans were ecstatic and believed that he was the source for all of their offensive problems. I'd be surprised if they came crawling back…

No doubt about it, one of the more depressing games we've had to suffer through as Buffs. The one bright spot had to be Scott though. 85 yards isn't a huge game but its the best running we've seen him do since he came to CU. Of course, this comes on a night when our punter was our 3rd leading rusher.

What's with our misuse and/or inconsistent use of players? Andre Simmons barely played at all. Did Rodney Stewart play at all? Did Scott play in the second half? Maybe redshirting the back up QB isn't the best of plans because now Cody is not pressured at all (if he ever really was). Will the defense ever make a tackle?

Since we beat WVU in OT last year, to start 3-0, we have won 2 games. Barely beating KState and Iowa St. 2-10 in year one was chalked up to new coach. 6-7 with a bowl game, things are getting better. 3-0 to start year 3…hmm maybe we are getting better. What the hell happened?

Shawn Watson has improved over the years… remember his first year at Nebraska in the game against Wake Forest? Third and 1 to go… Um, let's see we'll run it up the middle with our powerful offensive line, damn that didn't work…. um, let's try it again – do'h.
We saw a lot of that in CU… he's definitely improved… and he's gotta be better than Hawk, et al. I think Shawn is a better offensive coordinator now, than he was at CU, but I'm not sure he'd make a good head coach. In any case, the Big 12 North is better when both CU and Nebraska are in the top ten…

And, yeah… I'm assuming we'll fire Dan Hawkins.
September 13th, 2009 on 2:21 am
Watson was asked Friday about coaching at CU and NU and he said that it was night and day. That NU fans were extremely passionate about there teamI've got the best assistant coach's job in the country,” he said. “There's no place that I'd rather be than right here. A lot of that, as I've told you guys before, is because of you guys and how much you love our program and your respect (for the) work that we do.”
Asked to compare the environments at Nebraska and Colorado — for which he coached from 1999 to 2005 — Watson described it as “night and day.”
The coaching situation at Colorado has grown into a hot topic as Dan Hawkins struggles early in his fourth season.
“It's not even close,” Watson said. “The experience is real simple. Nebraska loves their team. Nebraska appreciates football. That's it. I mean, really, it's that simple. It's a passion. It's a love. It's not a convenience thing. There's a difference. There's a huge difference

Husker fans are no doubt passionate about their football, but I also think Watson was coaching during a tumultuous time for the CU program. Hopefully, CU will get a new group of coaches that can develop some of the talented players on the roster… let’s get someone with ties to the school and it’s traditions.
