Really we got our ass handed to us.  Every facet of the game. So much of what happened was unexpected, but in the end the Buffs did not look good.

Our strengths going into the game we nothing but weaknesses.  Our O-line gave up four sacks and gave Hawkins no time.  Our talented running backs could barely run the ball.  Our experienced secondary gave up 3 huge plays and it should have been 4.

Where was the smash mouth football?  We ran left and we ran right, but we didn’t run up the middle behind Miller.  Even on fourth and 1, we didn’t even try the QB sneak.  Penalties.  We had plenty especially at crucial times.  I haven’t had the stomach to fire up the Tivo yet, but did we really have an illegal man downfield on that critical 3rd down?

We were out game planned and play called for sure.  While the defense adjusted in the second half, I am left wondering what exactly is the character of our offense.  We saw nothing new last night.  No new wrinkles, exactly zero power formation.  More of the same and the results? Less than 20 points. Again.

Congrats to Aric Goodman who hit a 55 yard field goal that could have been good from 65.  Longer than Mason Crosby ever hit at Folsom.

Our chance on Friday night don’t look dreamy right now.
