Happy Halloween from Linguini and the Buffs.tv editors!
As most of you know, tomorrow the Buffs will take on Texas A&M and hopefully make a 180 degree turn from last weekends performance. I think we can all agree that last Saturday was scarier than anything we will see walking around tonight (unless of course somebody decides to dress as a Cornhusker for Halloween). But hopefully the Buffs scared themselves and will have taken several measures change some things.
Many people are expressing the need for a break from the team; the emotional swings this season have brought a lot of stress upon many of us. Since the game is not on TV, and there isn’t a roundtable this week, here is my suggested schedule to a Saturday full of football that won’t be embarrassing to watch: (Times are in MST by the way)
8:00-10:00 AM – College Gameday. For those die-hard football fans, and those of you who weren’t out too late last night, the Gameday boys will be down in Texas this week (again, sigh) for the biggest game in Texas Tech history. More on that later…
10:00 AM – Relax, watch one of the games if you’d like (Northwester vs. #17 Minnesota will be on now, might be worth watching), or do something else with this time.
12:00 PM – If you feel like it, hop onto your computer and bring up the CU vs. Texas A&M game online. Or listen to it on the radio. I personally think the Buffs will play really hard this week, lets just hope playing hard is paired with playing well.
1:30 PM – Get some friends, or whatever your usual game day group is, and tune into the Florida vs. Georgia game. This is a huge game; the winner of this could potentially go on to the national championship game, if they get through the SEC championship. It is sure to be very emotional with the occurrence from last year fresh in the minds of the Gators. Just sit back and watch the speed and talent of these 2 outstanding teams.
6:00 PM – The second big game of the day. Texas vs. Texas Tech. Be sure you are able to catch this game. In Lubbock, they are calling this the biggest game they have ever seen. I think the Red Raiders are very focused on bringing down Texas. But will Colt McCoy keep up his dominance and lead his team to another victory? Just watch this game, it’s bound to be very exciting.
Have a safe and happy Halloween everyone. I know I’ll be tuning into the game tomorrow, but for those of you who need the weekend off, be sure to check back soon; one of our editors will have a post game, hopefully with a better grade than last week. Lets get the last third of the season off to a great start. GO BUFFS!
