This is a must win for the Buffs. A&M is a team we can beat even on their own turf. Furthermore, a win would help to secure a bowl appearance which seems to be fading as the season continues.
Marc and I spoke about the Buffs recently, and we agreed that their 4-4 record was the expectation from the beginning of the season. Sure you want to be 8-0, but with a very tough schedule no one was kidding themselves.
What is frustrating is to watch a offense go from bad to worse and continue a downhill struggle. Our performance against Missouri was terrible and Hawk and Helfrich take responsibility for the loss. One wonders what we can do to change the situation. But apparently changes are in store for the offense. Let’s hope they make the difference for A&M’s weak defense.
Speaking of defense, Buffs need to continue to play tough and improve the tackling. A&M has an offense that we should be able to contain and keep them going three and out.
What makes this game so difficult is playing at Kyle Field in College Station. Going back to my time in Texas, the only good thing that came out of College Station was Freebirds Burritos, and those suck compared to Illegal Pete’s. My point is that the A&M fans have nothing but the Aggies. It will be nuts and the “12th Man” will be present. If the team stays focused and plays tough we can come out winners and without having to hear that damn cannon go off.
Go Buffs!
