It’s over, all is woe…

Darrel “Superman” Scott is a Horn. So sayeth Bloggers close to, well, something resembling a source for Texas:
Burnt Orange Nation
As an aside: “Pillow?” – “Woooo”? A Gunnery Sergeant from one of my favorite movies has a line in response to that is absolutely perfect. A quick excerpt from the quotable material:
“And you don’t look much like a steer to me so that kinda narrows it down”
You guys fill in the rest:)
Back to business. Swooning, Gnashing of teeth, etc:
All is lost, The Greatest Recruit Ever is Gone. Mack Brown is a recruiting God, let us all bow down…
Well, Darrel Scott may have told some people one thing, which is really terrible, because we all know he has NEVER done that before.
Does anyone else who is following this situation feel like they are watching the end of “I Love New York 2″?

Texas would be the right choice for DARRELL SCOTT!
1. He could be a starter for 4 years
2. Mack Brown players are a family
3. When the NFL comes calling Texas will give him an advantage in drafts. first rounder or third rounder. Texas has prestige
4. At CU he would get injured. Texas has talent that would allow him greater yards and the opposing defense could not only focus on him. Look out ESPN highlights
5. Texas produces the top offensive linemen in the country. He will enjoy that talent pool. Not to mention the history/tradition of Texas Longhorn football. Earl Campbell, Priest holmes, Cedric Benson -Shame Cedric plays for the bears who do not have an offensive line
6. Texas Longhorns every year have a chance of winning the a national championship. He could win a national championship at Texas.
7. Not to mention The University of Texas has academics too. One of the top rated business, law and medical schools in the country.
8. He would be a big star at Texas.. if he went to cu he would be a big star too, but who cares at cu.. I guess the 20K people in the state would.. Texas has alumin and support throughout the country. Texas is BIG TIME….

Forest Gump forgets the days when Texas used to get manhandled by the likes of CU, OU (Still?), A&M (STILL)Texas Tech and the other losers from the former SWC. Remember Mackovic? What did Texas do last year with Colt? Except lose to OU and A&M, THEIR RIVALS. At least the Buffs beat theirs. And if Jammal Charles didnt run over those loser Huskers, he’d still be there. How about playing a top 10 ten schedule, and scheduling games OUTSIDE THE STATE OF TEXAS?
I sure hope Scott realizes there are going to 6+ other HS Star RB’S(see prior post)competing. Twisted ankle, a bad grade, no spring practice and he is behind the 8 ball. Plus, HE’D BE IN TEXAS…YUCK.

I don’t know about you Kid B but I sure would like to get to a BCS bowl game one of these years – and I don’t want it to take 5 downs to do it either.

Hate to tell you this reksuh, but the last time either Nebraska or CU were in a BCS bowl game was in 2001… NU played for the national championship somehow after 62 to 36 and CU played Oregon. The result? Big whuppings for both of us.
