That number of tickets sold is an improvement over the last time Colorado went to a bowl two years ago and sold fewer than 1,000 tickets to the Champs Sports Bowl in Orlando, Fla.
“A great deal of our alumni are on the West Coast,” Colorado athletic director Mike Bohn said.
Well, duh. Thankfully, there is some good news in that such a large amount of tickets are being sold. The stadium won’t be empty at least! Even if the game is going to be an away game, at least it will be one with atmosphere!
