CU and Hawaii announced a four game series in honor of Jordan Dizon (ok, not really, but he deserves it!). The first game will be Sept. 18 in 2010 at Folsom. The 2 years after that the games will signal the start of the season in Hawaii and then the home and home will end (for now) in 2014 in Folsom. Expect CU to not add a 13th game as allowed when a team travels to Hawaii, as

CU coaches prefer the season opener so the travel over and back to Hawaii has the least amount of impact on the remainder of the schedule. When at Boise State, Hawkins said it always took a bit of a toll if there wasn’t an open week on either side of the game.

I like it when the team gets a bye after its first game of the year. Time to work on things, etc. Not to mention this can only help the team when it comes to recruiting in the very bountiful (for a population of 1 million anyways) area of Hawaii. Anyways, the best news is that I have a great excuse to go home and STILL watch the Buffs live!
