Last week, we had our first “push” game of the season, remarkable considering how many games we’ve picked. The battle for best pick record is tight among the editors that have picked every game. Ryno and Nick lead the pack with 48 correct, followed by myself with 47 and Marc, Sky, and Booty with 46. On to this week’s games:
Baylor (+38) @Oklahoma – OU should roll over the Bears, but I’m just not willing to give 38 points in this one. You would think Baylor would have enough pride to not let that happen.
Colorado (-5) @Iowa State – Which Colorado team shows up this week? Iowa State has been salty of late and the Buffs have struggled in Ames in the past. I think the Buffs rebound and bring the team that beat Texas Tech in Lubbock.
Kansas (-6) @Oklahoma State – This is probably Kansas’ toughest game of the season thus far as it is always tough to get a win in Stillwater. The Jayhawks’ defense was exposed a bit last week by Nebraska, and I think the Cowboys take advantage of that. I’m taking OSU in the upset.
Kansas State (-7.5) @ Nebraska – The Wildcats could be laying 20 points in this game and I’d still pick them. With the Iowa State win last week, I’d rank the Huskers as the worst team in the North.
@Missouri (-19) Texas A&M – A&M has not been impressive this season and the Tigers are looking to make a statement and move up in the BCS. I think Mizzou rolls at home.
@Texas (-6.5) Texas Tech – I don’t know how Texas is 8-2, as they seem to keep pulling out victories from the jaws of defeat. I don’t think they’ll be able to pull the magic trick again this week, so I’m taking Tech as my second upset pick.
