BUFFS Drop Texas Tech on the Road!

The BUFFS entered Jones SBC stadium wanting to control the clock and win the turn-over game. They did just that. The BUFFS held the ball for 33:50 min and had no turnovers. Texas Tech struggled for the second game in a row with 4 turnovers.
The offense showed its determination and strength as they ran 44 times and averaged just less than 5 yards per carry. They gambled early in the game which led to a 14 – 0 lead placing the Red Raiders in a one dimensional game.
Texas Tech only rushed 12 times and threw on 63 downs. Four interceptions dismantled their offense. For the second game in a row turnovers plagued the Raiders offense.
The BUFFS defense held the Red Raiders explosive offense to only 431 yards through the air which is 87 yards below their average per game. Add on the four picks and it was a great day for the defense!
With this win the BUFFS continue on their way to amassing a good season. Two more wins and they are off to a Bowl! Bring on Missouri! The team is beginning to come together. Next week promises to be a great game! Does anyone smell an upset?

As I write this, NU is about to upset UT. Come on Callahan, pull it off. Please. That might be enough to keep your sorry, mediocre ass around so that we can dominate for years to come. Go Huskers!

Hopefully the Offense can learn how to finish strong. It was disappointing to watch them fizzle out in the second half. Let’s finish strong and go bowling. Good win today. Go Buffs!!!

Ya, they definitely slowed down late. The blocking just fell apart. They did the most important thing tho… Score enough!:)

Although I agree that the defense did an excellent job holding the TT offense to yardage below their season average; what about allowing the 3 consecutive 4th down conversion attempts which resulted in a TD on 4th down. That was endlessly frustrating to watch because they were successful in stopping the TT O on the first 3 downs, but for some reason always left a receiver open, with room, on 4th.
It made the game unnecessarily stressful, for me at least.

That’s just the nature of the tech offense. High risk, high reward – 4 chances at 12 yards, instead of three chances to pick up 4. This is also why they’ll never win a championship. All it takes is one #26 to ruin your season when you throw the ball to the same guy every play. It works like a charm until it doesn’t.
