Buffs.tv Blogpoll – Week 5
filed in Rankings on Oct.02, 2007
Wow. After the bloodbath that was last Saturday, you might as well throw all of the teams up in the air and then rank them by where they fall. A couple of notes for this week’s rankings:
- LSU is back to #1 as USC looked pretty poor against Washington. This may flip back and forth as the weeks go on.
- South Florida gets a huge jump after beating West Virginia. It’s hard to believe that they are now the favorites to win the Big East.
- I debated whether to put Kansas State or Nebraska at #24, but decided to go with the team that didn’t give up over 400 yards to Iowa State.
- I’m putting the Buffs at 25 as a reward for the huge win over OU. It may be a little unrealistic, but it’s our website and we can do what we want. Besides, the Buffs got at least one vote in each of the national polls, we’re doing our part for the Blogpoll.

Nice job with the reranking. That was one hell of a job this week. Minor tweaks just won’t cut it.

Quite an interesting week. I think there are a lot of “posers” in the top 20 that are going to take a dive soon. I think Ohio State is quite a bit overrated and Missouri hasn’t had any real competition yet. If Missouri beats both Nebraska and Oklahoma, I’ll believe that they are a top 10 team. I also think that putting Hawaii in the top 10 is a little far fetched considering their extremely weak strength of schedule.
But hey, who knows? Go Rainbows!

Hawaii is the Warriors now. Does that make you think they deserve their ranking?

Its funny how UH switched their mascot from the “Rainbows” to the “Warriors”. My high school mascot was the “Warriors”, and then some over senistive panderers changed it to the “Wildcats”, in effort to be politically correct. “Wildcats”… what a sissy wuss, loser mascot name.

They will always be the Rainbows to me.

Only thing I have a question is Boston College… How have they been better then South Florida… Or Wisconsin?
Can’t wait to see how the next few weeks go rankings wise.

I’d say you fellas are a bit too humble. I can honestly say that I’d put CU at about 13th after that win.
