Wow. After a number of upsets and bad wins, the poll this week has once again been jumbled around. A couple of notes:
- USC jumps back to #1 after dismantling Nebraska in Lincoln. While it’s not nearly the challenge that it used to be, it’s still impressive to blow out the Huskers at home. As a side note, the Corn has dropped out of my poll as I’m not swayed by their name and the past like the voters in the national polls. As demonstrated over the last two weeks, this is just not that good of a team.
- Texas takes a nose dive after barely handling Central Florida. If the Longhorns keep this up, they’re in for a hurting against OU in a few weeks.
- Alabama and Kentucky join the poll after impressive wins in their rivalry games. Because of the rivalries, Louisville and Arkansas don’t drop out completely.
