How did we prove your point again? By picking Nevada to cover? If I had a true bias against Nebraska, I’d pick them to lose, but I didn’t. Let me explain how point spreads work. The line is set so that casinos and bookies get roughly the same amount of money bet on both sides. They then minimize their risk and make their money on the commissions. They set the line at 21 because that’s the point where they can achieve this balance. I think the Huskers will win by less than 21, you think they’ll win by 150. Nebraska has a new QB, a RB that featured for the first time, a completely new D-Line, and Bill Callahan. Don’t you think it’s possible that they’ll struggle a little in the first game trying to get all of the kinks worked out? Never mind, it’s like trying to reason with a 2 year old.
