if the option can work with the situation we have, use it. he would also make a good slot recvr.

Jackson is a dangerous weapon that can be used in many different situations. I hope that he’s on the field for most plays in some capacity in order to keep the defense on its toes. I fear that they’ll only put him in when he’s going to touch the ball and then he’ll be ineffective. I’d line him up at WR, RB, and even occasionally at QB. If he lines up at QB, have him run some of the time, pass a few times, and even just have him hand it off to the RB. If they keep the plays fresh and mix it up enough, the defense won’t know what to expect when he’s out there.

What do you think of this talk of throwing him in as a db? http://www.buffzone.com/news/2007/jul/22/cu-football-jackson-even-willing-to-play-d-for/ He may be athletically gifted, but I think there needs some method to the madness of getting him on the field. Although he might excel in a return role.

I’d have concerns about having him in there at DB. While you can give anyone the ball and tell them to run with it, it’s difficult to learn the positioning and skills it takes to play well at the DB position. Of course, if our backs play like they did last year, it may be worth giving him a shot.
