No Post-Season For The Buffs…
filed in Post-game on Oct.22, 2006
The wind was tough to deal with. Oklahoma only scored when they were going down wind.
Colorado couldn’t do much of anything on offense, no matter which way the wind was blowing. The Buffaloes managed only two first downs on their first nine possessions. Jackson did not complete his second pass until the fourth quarter. He finished 3-for-14 for 39 yards and one interception. Colorado had a season-low 113 yards of total offense.
The loss ended any remaining bowl hopes for Colorado, which halted a 10-game losing streak with a win against Texas Tech last week. The Buffaloes are winless in their last 13 games against ranked opponents.

Condolences Buffs, even I am starting to feel sorry for you. And it certainly isn’t good for any Big 12 North team to be out of the post season already in October. Sincerely I hope that Hawk can put together some kind of recruiting class still, it won’t be easy when the team is this dismal. It was much more fun messing with you guys when you had at least an ounce of fight left in you. Here’s to a better season and return to status next year!

Kansas is gonna kick cu’s ass all over the place despite Mangino and his lousy coaching.

Defense your great!
The offense needs a Daniels or could it have been a White who did well in the Champs Bowl?
As for the run, you have a 100+ yard guy Doak Walker candidate and you put him in only a few times? I thought you learned from your mistakes with that earlier. Humm
Ok, regroup. Let’s try again next week and the week after that. I hope you do not have to wait until next year to win another game. That would be sad for the players who had dreams of a future in football.

Ok, I take back my earlier post of symapthy. It was a moment of weakness and general sadness for the Big 12. But after reading Papa, Marc, and BoulderNative81′s comments about schedules in the previous section I am reminded of why the Buffs deserve everything bad that can possible happen to them. They are pricks. And so so stupid. The only one of you that I can even stomach is Ryno (and that bastard owes me beer! jk Ryno
There is a reason that CU is the toilet of NCAA football. Actually there are many reasons. Here’s to continued mediorcrity for an extremely historically mediocre team!

Ok, Ryno…. I’m bringing a hardcopy of this post that Marc keeps deleting when I meet you on Nov. 24. I will task you to find anything inappropriate or profane in any any way. This is censorship in it’s ugliest form from a LOSER that doesn’t want the true comparison between CU and NU’s schedules. Plain and simple

No worries BSMC, I get a copy of every comment that comes in; I’ve seen all your comments. I’ll admit, I’m just a one man. A part of a team here at buffs.tv. But I’m also busy drinking beer (have to admit SN Pale Ale and BB’s Hazed & Infused are in my top 5 beers) most days so I miss important meetings; welcome to my life. I’m not up to date on all the decisions being made today. However, in advance of hearing any evidence I will say this: Based on your previous sympathetic comments I think you can recognize the situation REAL Buff fans are in right now. We’re down and frustration is mounting but we’re doing all we can to stay optimistic on this site. Being a Nebraska fan I know you can feel me here. Sometimes tolerance gets lower when people are kicking you while you’re down. I stand by my comment that profane and obscene comments will be blocked. And as one of multiple capable descision makers here at Buffs.tv I can give you my word that I will do all I can to understand all our editor’s feelings and our policies before I speak out again. Other than that all I can say is, being an athlete myself, I can appreciate negative comments against myself and my team; they can only serve as fuel.

As an aside to the post-game banter between BSMC and the owners of this site, I thought we might get back to Buffs football. That is, I think, the subject of this? Anyways, since we have more Nebraska fans on this website than CU fans, I thought I might ask this question in light of our poor performance and Nebraska’s stellar performance against Texas – how bad will we lose to Nebraska this year? I’d like to think our defense will still show up, but how far can they go? Will this be another 52-7 drubbing at the hands of the Huskers? Seriously, will we be embarrassed or will be get out of there with some sense of pride (meaning they don’t run it up on us)? My opinion – I think for the first time in years, this game won’t even be worth watching. Nothing but more disappointment.

Let’s see… last year a much worse Nebraska team than this year beat a much better Colorado team than this year 30-3 in Boulder. Let’s extrapolate, NU improved with a quantum leap forward in their new system between seasons and CU, well let’s just say the Buffs have certainly gotten worse not better. This year in Lincoln Nebraska will beat Colorado by at least 40 points. I’ll say 52-3 Huskers.

I don’t think Nebraska’s defense is as good as Oklahoma’s. I don’t think our defense is bad enough to give up 50 points. Remember this is Hawkins coaching and I have yet to see this team give up even after some tough losses. Under Barnett, one bad play could send the team into remission. Plus Hawkins is working on rebuilding traditions started by McCartney, and he knows Nebraska is the game of the year. He’ll have us ready to play.
