What’s up with wins down?

During the first two home games at Folsom Field, Campus police have placed 11 people in the Addiction Recovery Center and 128 have been ejected from the game. These numbers are drastically up from previous years according to the Associated Press.
Interestingly, there seems to be an inverse correlation between the Football team success and the number of people taken to the Addiction Recovery Center. In 2004, eight people were sent to the drunk tank and the team was 4-2 at home. In 2005, only six made the trip and the team was 5-1 at home. This year with 2 losses eleven have already had to sleep off their game hangover with the police.
The university has begun broadcasting good-behavior reminders on BuffVision during games. They are also expected to open a telephone line so fans can report inappropriate behavior.
The next home game is October 7th against Baylor. I wonder how many people will get the opportunity to sleep off the game with the police?

The only thing that is up here is police enforcement. This is really nothing new here.
Is a student really drunk if there are no campus police there to eject them?

I think after the debacle that was the Nebraska game last year the University had to do something. This is their response. What it will probably mean is most of the students will just show up for the second quarter, you know after they show up late and leave at half time to drink more.
