White Quits

Well, if you were frustrated with performances of Bernard Jackson or James Cox, don’t look to Brian White to be the savior this week against ASU. Brian White quit the team.
“He gave no indication of where he is going,” coach Dan Hawkins said. “He just told me that he is hanging it up.”
Wow!

Yeah…what would a 6’5″ 220lb quaterback want to be at CU for…maybe if he was 5’11″ and 190lbs…

Someone has been watching too many Peyton Manning commercials… 6’5″, 230 — laser rocket arm… White is just as tall, 10 pounds lighter, he MUST be almost as good.
White could be 20’6″ and that wouldn’t necessarily make him a better QB. You seriously believe that the staff wouldn’t give him a chance if he were their best option? That is the kind of logic I’d expect from a CSU fan!

It’s time to rally. Maybe this will be a long season, but I am confident that Hawkins is the right man for the job and will get it done. Infiting, bickering, and heaping negatives on the team isn’t going to help anything! I’ll be there to cheer the guys on this weekend against ASU! A surprise upset sure would be a great fix for our current woes. Go B. Jax! Go BUFFS!!

Just shows how much work needs to be done. The team has been broken down about as far as it can go – a collection of individuals. Time to put it back together, Hawk! Get these kids acting like a teasm again, and the wins will come.
I really get the feeling this is rock bottom. The kids who don’t give up now will get be a part of a great transformation over the next couple of seasons.
To all the Buff players: Choose now. In or out?

Still dont think i understand why White was #3 on the depth chart in the first place. After his performance in the bowl game last year, sure thought he would be the starter this year.
Why do we a bruin fan on this board??? Win the natl champ this year?? Youre gonna get smoked by USC, AGAIN!!

The option for Colorado to win right now is Jackson. Look at the close of last year. Joel Klatt left the school as the school’s all-time leading passer but we struggled throwing the ball against ranked teams.
So White wouldn’t have helped the team anyway. So, peace and good luck in division 2 football.
