Hankwitz Named Interim Head Coach
filed in Coaching on Dec.09, 2005
Mike Hankwitz was named the interim head coach for the Colorado Buffaloes. He will coach the Buffs in the Champs Sports Bowl. This is not his first experience with interim coaching. He was interim head coach at Arizona a few years back. Many thought Brian Cabral would get the call again as he did during the Barnett suspension. A factor in the selction process may have been his recent application for the Northern Colorado head coaching position.
First order of business for Hankwitz, please suspend Clint O’Neil pending investigation into his conduct. His actions are an unacceptable part of the University of Colorado. Period.
Speculation is rampant around the web about who will replace Barnett. I’m not here to speculate although you can bet I am curious. I am confident that Mike Bohn and the rest of the University selection committe will find the right man for this job.
UPDATE: O’Neil has been suspended from team activities indefinitely

Are they going to hold a press conference to announce the new coach or what? I have barely heard anything about it at all!
Go bruinz, I’m amazed you can even turn your computer on. I thought we had him blocked, wishful thinking on my part.
