Buffs.tv has started voting in the BlogPoll over at mgoblog. Brian has put together a poll made up of college football bloggers to see how our poll will compare with the “official” polls that are out there. Marc voted for us the first two weeks (see here), but due to his wedding this weekend and the fact that his polls were way too sporadic, I took care of the voting this week. Our week 3 poll with some explanations (some I can’t really explain):
Southern Cal – Of course
Texas – Impressive win in the horseshoe. We’re in trouble on Oct 15.
Louisiana State – Scored a great “home” victory at Arizona State.
Virginia Tech
Georgia – Struggled a bit with South Carolina, but not enough to drop them down.
Tennessee – Struggled in their first game, but still a good team.
Florida
Florida State – I’m not convinced on this one. Looked terrible against Miami and I’m pretty sure I could get 10 other guys together and beat The Citadel.
Ohio State – Tough loss to Texas at home. I watched the first half before the Buff game and it looks like they have a little work to do. I think they bounce back and win the Big 10 (11).
Louisville
Notre Dame – I’m also not convinced by the Irish, but they looked fairly good against Michigan. They have a tough schedule ahead to prove that they’re for real.
Purdue – May have been the only Big 10 team not to lose this past weekend.
Cal – Probably too high.
Michigan – I was pretty surprised at the loss on Saturday. I thought they were dominated on both sides of the ball.
Miami (Florida) – Who knows about this one. Which way they move will depend on that young QB.
Georgia Tech
Boston College
Arizona State
Texas Tech – I hate ranking this team as their schedule is an embarrassment. Schedule some 1-A schools for Pete’s sake.
Colorado – 2-0 and not in any official rankings. What do they know?
Iowa State – Wow. I’m not looking forward to the game in Ames.
Clemson
Oklahoma – Got the win, but looked poor doing it. Plus TCU lost to SMU. Down year for the Sooners.
Iowa
Virginia
