It’s been an up and down season for the Buffs and they next head to Lincoln to wrap up the regular season (10:00 AM MST on ABC). A win over Nebraska coupled with a loss for Iowa State would put the Buffs back in the Big XII Championship game for the third time in four years. Although I’m not sure that we want any part of Oklahoma, it’s always better to have the chance to play than to sit at home watching. Colorado is 6-4 and is already bowl eligible. Not that I’m too excited about playing in a place like Shreveport, LA, but the extra practices should help continue the development of this young team.
Nebraska is 5-5 for the season and needs a win to become bowl eligible. So far, the transition to the West Coast offense has been a rough one plagued with turnovers and inconsistancy. If the team that took it to Missouri shows up, we could have a close game on our hands. By the way, the Callahan Era commemorative coin is at an all-time low price.
Overall, I like the Buffs’ chances this week. If they continue to play hard like they did against Kansas State, Kansas, and Texas A&M, I think they roll. If they play like they did against Texas, all bets are off. Prediction: CU 27 NU 13
