Shawn Watson accepted all the blame for the Buffs offensive failures on Saturday.
“It starts with me,” Watson said. “I’m never going to point fingers at the kids. It starts with me, and it’s about me getting in a flow and putting them in positions to make plays.”
This is a huge move for a CU coaching staff who regularly shifts the blame onto the players. I commend Watson for stepping forward and taking responsibility. That may be last positive thing I may ever say about Watson. You can search through the archives you’ll see that we haven’t had much positive to say about him for the last 3 years.
Neil Woelk thinks that the problems might be Dick Tharp’s fault. He makes some strong points about the dismal Colorado Athletic Department. But it could be that Woelk and I are skirting all around a bigger issue about who’s head should roll.
