The Buffs offense looked miserable out there. After Purify went down out there, it seemed that Shawn Watson only had 3 plays left in his playbook. Ouf offensive players failed to make plays. There is no doubt about that, but again a lot of the blame needs to be placed on the inept play calling of Shawn Watson.

Our offensive play calling is the worst. Of the 24 first down plays that CU ran, 18 of them were runs. We need to start mixing it up as opposing defenses know that all they have to do is stack the box on first down. Also, Papa pointed out the unbelievable pattern we have of running routes that are shorter than what we need for a first down. You could point to the inexperience of the receivers, but this is a pattern that has devloped over the last couple of years. Shawn Watson has got to go.

Big XII North Race Gets Muddy
The Big XII South division race should largely settled this Saturday by the Texas vs. Oklahoma Red River Shootout in Dallas. Getting a read on the Big XII North is considerably more difficult, as the race probably won’t be determined until at least Nov…
