This was announced today, and personally I feel this is the best route for the team to go. It will provide the most consistency during the next couple months. However, if Barnett is indeed fired at the end of this mess, then we should really look outside the program for a fresh start.

Rumors are flying tonight about the special press conference with Betsy Hoffman that will begin at approximately 9:30 pm. Many are calling for Barnett to be fired, and this may be what this is about. Barnett fired Vince Okruch today and hired Mike Hankwitz to replace him. Emerging details can be found here. Hankwitz was a the interim head coach for the Arizona Wildcats last season.
