Bloom to accept endorsements

Jeremy Bloom announced today that he will begin accepting endorsements on Tuesday to help pay for his professional skiing career. He has no intentions of quitting football and will fight the NCAA to the bitter end to allow him to play the rest of his collegiate football career. After he plays the 2004 season he will most likely redshirt during the 2005 season to prepare for the upcoming 2006 Olympics in Athens.
Way to go Bloom, Stick it to the man!

Good luck Jeremy…I really hope this gets the NCAA to change their minds about this, otherwise we’re gonna be rather thin (experience wise) at wide reciever.

This is a waste of time. There’s no need for him to be whining about not getting money for skiing. I’m sure the University of paying for all of his schooling as long as he plays football. I have to pay nearly $5,000 a year to go to school and I do not expect the University to pay me. Grow up and quit whining about not being paid. Try paying for your own schooling for once and then you can start complaining.

Actually, Bloom has offered repeatedly to pay his own way through school if he can receive enough endorsements to cover his skiing expenses. His main concern is not the cost of an education it is the roughly $100,000 he has to spend to remain competitive on the World Cup tour. This is certainly not about Bloom being greedy.

Well, I think we can kiss Bloom goodbye. I don’t think the NCAA is going to bend on this one, and he’s got a future in skiing. I’ll definitely miss him and how exciting he is when he gets the ball in his hands. Too bad Barnett didn’t utilize him more than he did.

my intentions when I first came on this board was never to “Talk Shit” and really I dont Now;But I do when People like you and BuffLady talk a lot of crap about UNL and the People of Nebraska.
