To Do: Hire Special Teams Coach

It is no secret that the Buffs have no special teams coach. They never have under Barnett. It is also no secret that special teams doomed the Buffs in the final game against the Huskers this season. They have also been subject of ridicule under Barnett’s entire tenure. And Woody Paige has taken them to task this season as well. Had Kelly, Hollowell, Mariscal and Bloom not been around there may not have been a single bright light on special teams at all during the Barnett era.
Special Teams is a third of the game and deserves as much focus as the rest of the game from the Buffs. We need to see attention to detail and inspired play out there. Special teams, earn points and control field position. We need to have a special teams coach. Barnett obviously can’t handle the job and this whole split coaching situation is leaving our coverage teams fragmented on the field.
If you make no ther coaching moves this off-season (which I sincerely hope won’t be the case) PLEASE HIRE A SPECIAL TEAMS COACH! If you have no other candidates, our own Perrin is excited to volunteer.

they need to hire a field painter. why was there no buffalo logo on the field this year? i thought it was cool when we had two small buffaloes in opposite corners. they should put the cu letter logo on the field too. they could put a buffalo logo in the end zone after every win, so they would accumulate like pride stickers. yoba doba!

Shawn Watson has interviews set up with Akron and Nevada about head coaching positions. Can these schools be that dumb? I sure hope so!

Darkness falls across the land, but it is the Huskers and not the Buffs who find themselves in the midst of chaos!
How can this be? How can Solich be fired after improving to 9-3, going to a bowl, having played for the National Title a few years back, and having the (apparent) respect of the team? It is because the Huskers demand a quality product! CU on the other hand is perfectly content with mediocrity, sloppy play, and non-bowl worthy records.
Barnett has asserted himself as “The Man” – all decisions will be his and only his. Remember HIS words Buff fans – HE is in control, ALL decisions are HIS, and HE is calling ALL the shots!
Next year, when they have a terrible recruiting year (which they are thus far), when they have another bad season, and when they again are statistically amongst the worst in the land, remember who is “in charge”! He will blame his players, blame his fans, blame the internet, and point fingers, but again he will make no changes.
Barnett you arrogant ass! I implore you to use logic in at least one decision, and step down now. Take your impudence, your foolish and ineffective ideas, your sycophantic (and untouchable) staff, your hired security goons, and your anti-fan attitude and leave Boulder for good!
You are a lout and a clod, and I am tired of watching your sorry excuse for a product that you put on display each weekend. Now I know why you hire jack-booted thugs to keep people from watching your team practice; because you don’t want people laughing at your monumental ineptitude! I mock you! I shall taunt you until you leave the program and let us return to brighter days. For shame!

Well said AshamedBuff, well said. I feel the same way you do. I am sick of the product he is selling to us. sick of slopy play and mediocrity. It gets old standing up for a team that prefroms like this and wont take the nessary steps to change it and make it better, i am sick of his blaming everyone else when things go wrong but take all credit when things are good. Blame the fans? Well give us something to cheer about and we wont let the BUFFS not u down.
