Let’s Hear Some Noise!
filed in Fans on Nov.25, 2003 by Katfish
Well, Friday’s game is officially sold out. The last tickets were sold yesterday afternoon sometime according to the CU Ticket Office. Of the approximately 53,000 available, the standard 3,850 went to the University of Nebraska. Account for the fact that Husker fans probably scooped up some of the 1,400 tickets made a available to the general public and ad a dash of scalped tickets… and estimates out of the University put about 5,000 red-coats in the stands. So, Buff faithful, do you think 48,000 can make some noise?

I know I’ve been guilty of being a couple of minutes late to the game in the past (have to get in that last beer), but this game it’s critical that everyone is early. We need to support the Seniors and make sure there is plenty of noise for the entire game.

I KNOW WE CAN MAKE A LOT OF NOISE!!! I think the most important thing (as many have already pointed out) is for everyone to be there early or at least in the stands to honor our seniors and when Ralphie leads the team onto the field.

I’m waking up at 7AM to start pregaming. I will be in the stadium by 930. If NU goes ahead, I will only get louder. We need to be as loud as we’ve ever been. I don’t care if the game is at 10AM. I hope to see people yelling by 945, in anticipation of the Buffs entering the field. I’ll be near the field and yelling my head off. GO BUFFS!

You’ve all probably already seen my appeal for everyone to get to the game early. I have yet another one. Yell the loudest you’ve ever yelled in your entire life during this game. From 10 minutes before Ralphie runs out until the final whistle, don’t let up. When we are on defense, get loud. I’ve noticed that it seems like only the student section makes a lot of noise. If you aren’t in the student section, get everyone around you to stand up and yell. When we’re on offense, quiet down unless we make a good play. NU players shouldn’t be able to hear each other in the offensive huddle. I don’t care if it’s 1st and 10. Keep yelling. Once again, I know this won’t do much but every bit helps. Spread the word! GO BUFFS!
