Saturday was a beautiful day in Boulder! The sun was out, the air was brisk, and the BUFFS showed up to play! For the first time this year they decided to play for the majority of all four quarters. Granted there was still the occasional demonstration of excellent tackling like the Damien Nash 48-yard touchdown off a screen pass with five minutes left. The play calling continued to be predictable and uninspired. The defense did cause 4 fumbles with two turnovers though. The offense showed their ability to score through the air and on the ground. Although, on paper the game played out a different way except for the turnovers. Missouri had 27 first downs, 169 rushing yards and 278 through the air compared to the 19 first downs, 89 yards on the ground and 187 in the air for the BUFFS. The big stat was that the BUFFS did not cough up the ball! I am happy to see the BUFFS back in the win column and hopefully we can win the next two so the boys can make a bowl appearance.
