Chip is an All-American

Chip, CU’s longtime mascot (the one in the fuzzy suit, not to be confused with the 1300 lb. girl running around the stadium before games) has been selected to the Capital One All-America Mascot Team. Chip will now be competing against eleven other mascots for the honor of National Mascot of the Year.
The Winner will be selected based on judges score (50%) and fan voting (50%). Check back here for announcements on how and when voting will begin.
Chip, I take back all those things I said about you looking like a chipmunk.

What’s up with the huge SEC tilt? I don’t mean to sound like Oliver Stone, but do you think it’s *only* a coincidence that so many SEC schools are in the running for an award presented at an SEC bowl game?! Hmmm….

I am happy for Chip but it si a sad day for college football when Chip is one of the top 11 mascots in the nation. I have been extremely unsatisfied with the performance of Chip over the last years. 1994 was without a doubt the best year in modern history. In addition, how in the world can anyone think he is a buffalo. I still maintain that he is a chipmunk with miniture horns. I hope Chip is much better this year!!

I nominate Katfish for title of ALL AMERICAN MASCOT crusher. Two years ago, 36 beers, victory over texas, Katfish on top of CHIP and slight, female fan rolling down the isle. Chip should win the award for surviving that game. Good times.

I just logged onto the capitalonebowl.com website to see how Chips is doing in the polls. Chips is not doing well as far as the popular vote. We need all the Buff fans to log on and vote for Chips (it doesn’t matter if you think he looks like a chipmunk, vote for him anyway). By the way Chips, I think you are doing a fine job this year!!!!! GET OUT THE VOTE FOR CHIPS AND GO BUFFS!!!!
