CU signed five players from Colorado in this latest class, bringing the number of Colorado recruits signed by Barnett to 32 in his five years out of a total of 98 letters signed. Barnett has had at least five recruits from Colorado each of the five seasons, the first time that’s happened at CU since the early ’70s. Besides Colorado’s 32, a total of 24 have been from Texas and 17 from California, meaning 73 out of the 98 have hailed from one of those three states. In the past two years, Barnett has signed 18 players from Texas and 10 from California alone, while also signing 12 Colorado players in that same time span.
