Houston are you there?

Will Marcus Houston stay or go? (I guess the same could be asked of Chris Brown, especially with McGahee down)
Well apparently he has spoken with the Rocky Mountain News and will announce his decision shortly. The fact that something needs to be announced is horrible enough. I can’t stand the whole Houston situation. The way the team has handled it, the way Houston has handled it. The way the coached refuse to run him. It is ugly all around. But I saw him run at USC 3 years ago, that was a beautiful thing.

One positive in the Buffs favor of retaining MH concerns the Buffs playing Zac Colvin. With EB departing, who is not to say it will be a new slate concerning RBs? Sure CB is #1, however MH could and should compete for the other spots. I’m not totally sold on Calhoun. But for 1 quarter of the NU game, he has been shut down twice. Injuries do happen.
Back to Zac Colvin. Zac stayed and GB played him in the Alamo Bowl before his hometown.

Yes he played Zac Colvin, but it’s entirely possible that the driving reason for playing Colvin came out of spite for Craig Ochs. I beleive that Ochs would still be in Boulder today if GB would have played him the entire second half of last year’s fiesta bowl.
We all know there was a rift between Houston and Bienemeny, but no new coach has been named yet, so the future is still uncertain for Marcus

Im not buying that Houston didnt play because of the problems with Bienemy. Doesnt the head coach have the final say in who plays anyways? Im sure if Barnett wanted him in there, we’d have seen him. I think Barnett is to blame here once again, just like in the departure of Ochs. Something is amiss in the way Barnett handles his players.

I’m thinking the same thing. It’s not a good sign when the two star local recruits are now in the Colorado headlines because they are transferring or considering it.
