Watson to stay

Utah selected Bowling Green’s Urban Meyer to replace Ron McBride as their head football coach. Colorado offensive coordinator Shawn Watson was believed to be the leading candidate for the job until Meyer threw his hat in the ring.
Such a bummer. Herbstreit and Fowler may have been high on Watson (Wilson as Kirk calls him) but count me out. I’ve always found Watson’s playcalling to be uncreative and predictable. I can’t tell you how many times I have sat in the stands wishing that Watson wasn’t calling the plays. I thought this was our chance to be rid of him. But too bad. We’ll have to stick with him a while longer because lord knows nobody will fire him.
