Tackling & Toughness – Iowa State

and the winners are …
TACKLING: Clyde Surrell
Number 20 was there to save the day again and again at Saturday’s game. He seemed to fly in from nowhere to make the big hits. He showed his excellent speed by crossing the field to catch Seneca Wallace and prevent a touchdown midway through the first period. I think his leadership bodes well for buffs next year.
TOUGHNESS: Bobby Purify
Bobby stepped up and reminded us all that CU does in deed have more than one threat at running back. Iowa State was the second week in a row that Bobby was on. Purify rushed for 174 yards, scored a touchdown and led CU with five receptions for 51 yards. If he could play this tough every game we might have a Heisman race of our own.
HONORABLE MENTION TACKLING: Brian Iwuh
I found myself checking the roster multiple times on Saturday to answer the question “who is that number 27; he just made a great hit?” You would never know that Joe Swift left the team with Iwuh stepping in the game and stepping up to the challenge. I like the looks of CU

Yes, I was just writing because I wanted to know if you could relate a message to Clyde Surrell for me. First of all we never had the chance to meet but I would love to meet him. I was his brothers girl friend. (Charles Surrell) we was killed about a month and a half ago. And I really wanted to get in touch with him so that I can talk to him and see how everything is going. I would love to get to know my belated boyfriends brother. So if you would give him this message and my email address or my # and tell him to call me, (###) ###-####. Once again my name is La’Toya and I attend the University of Texas and also run track here as well so please if you can assist me in anyway please do so. Thanks alot

Hi I was just writing him about his brother Charles Surrell who was killed in Stockton, CA.I wanted to tell him sorry about his brother. He was my best friend and I loved him very much. I used to all ways call the house for charles when he was living with you. My nickname is kiki. Also I wanted to know how your mother was doing. I went to see her after Charles die, but I haven’t talked to her sense then. I live right around the corner from her. Also if you woundering how I know you its because I used to go with him also, but then we became very good friends. I kept in touch with Charles everywhere he went. It just broke my heart when I found out who he was with when he got killed and how it happened.I hope you can email me back. Thanks, Your mom knows me and Shardae
