Tackling & Toughness — Oklahoma
filed in Tackling & Toughness on Nov.04, 2002
and the winners are …
TACKLING: Gabe Nyenhuis
Nyenhuis has been relatively quiet this year but came up big Saturday in Oklahoma. The defense had to spend entirely too much time on the field and a short one at that. Nyenhuis executed a number of key textbook tackles that made me proud.
TOUGHNESS: Chris Brown
While I am a little hesitant to recognize anyone on offense this week, Chris Brown was undeniably tough. He is the first running back to rush for over 100 yards against Oklahoma in four seasons; the last guy being Deuce McAllister. Hey Heisman voters — are you paying attention!?

I think Chris Brown has long proved hes one tough mother. He played the entire second half against texas tech with a hip pointer. Don’t get much tougher than that.
By the way. Any way I can get ahold of one of those chris brown for heisman shirts. After what he did to the supposed heisman destroyer crew, with the coaching staff forgetting he was on our team, i think he deserves it more than ever.
