Buffs 34 – Bears 0

Some 46,000 fans plus showed up to watch University of Colorado Buffaloes attack the Baylor Bears for the first 30 minutes of football. After that, penalties ruled the scoreless third quarter and reserves ruled the fourth. That’s pretty much it. Not much to see in the second half, but the Buffs tore it up for the first 30 minutes of play.
Consider this. To start the game off the Buffs went 62 yards on 3 plays. All 62 yards were accounted to Chris Brown. Chris Brown for Heisman. 167 rushing yard, 187 total yards and 3 touchdowns. Brown increased his per game average to 164.7 yards per game. And touchdown total to 13. Still no national Heisman hype. But the fans were out in force with their Chris Brown for Heisman shirts.
The defense was solid all game too. They barely let the Bears cross the 50 yard line and when they did it was due to our turnovers not a lax defense. Fortunately they allowed no points an generated 4 turnovers and 4 sacks. Well done all around. With special note to Tyler Brayton and Sam Wilder who played like men all game long.
BTW Nebraska lost 24-21 to Oklahoma State
