Brown co-offensive player of the week
filed in Awards on Oct.14, 2002
Chris Brown was named the Big XII co-offensive player of the week along with Oklahoma RB Quentin Griffin. I know it was against Kansas, but 309 yards is 309 yards. Brown is now second in total rushing yards in the nation behind some guy from Northern Illinois. I just don’t understand why there isn’t more talk about him for the Heisman, I suppose the team’s record is hurting him.
Correction: Brown leads the nation in yards per game. The guy that is ahead of him in total yards has played one more game. If Brown continues his pace of 164.5 yds/game he will amass 1974 yards. 2138.5 yards if we make it to the Big XII championship game.

Brown for Heisman!!

Chris Brown is running through CU records and into the national spotlight. In the ESPN Experts Heisman poll he got his first votes ever after is 309 yards on 25 carries.
309 yards is the second largest day by a buffalo ever. Behind Charlie Davis with 342 in 1971 an Rashann Salaam with 317 against Texas in 1994 (What a great game that was)
This was 111 yards better than Brown’s previous best effort that came against the Huskers.
Chris Brown is the real deal, but he doesn’t care much for the attention.
