Tough words for Ochs

Good article in the Denver Post this morning. Frei is right, there should be more criticism in the media for how Ochs handled his situation. If he does wind up trying to transfer to Washington, I hope the NCAA sees through his ruse and declines his medical redshirt.

I agree. THis article is well written and brings up some important points about the way Ohcs has handled this situation. He does not owe the fans anything, although an explnation would be nice. He does owe his teammates and the University a proper discussion about why he has fleed the school. He was a Captain of the team, if he has to leave the team, his fellow players deserve a thorough explantion.
My favorite part of Frei’s column is the part that calls for the NCAA to deny his request for a medical redshirt. What a twist of fate that would be.
In some circles this weekend there was discussion that the reason we opened up the passing game on KSU was primarily to piss of Ochs.

The only thing the Buffs ever saw from Ochs was potential, never any realization on the field. I know I was grateful to see Bobby Pesavento step up and lead the Buffs in 2001. Now that we’ve got Hodge-ball, I’m glad the Buffs can save some (now very important) scholorship $$ with the absence of Ochs.
Now, if we all pitch in and buy Bloom a can of stick-um, the Buffs will be set for the year.
