Rams are the “Big Story”

Is it just me, or does it seem that the media is focusing on every reason under the sun for the Rams beating the Buffs instead of talking about what will happen: The Buffs walking all over the Rams?

Rams Take CU in Stride
Lucy,I mean, Bradlee Van Pelt apparently has forgotten about last year. “I think it’s another game. We just happen to be playing Colorado. I don’t want to say it’s a huge game. I’m taking it as just another game.”
Buffs Wary of Rams’ Special Teams
Even Barnett is getting in on the act.
“Special teams are a huge concern for us, not because we’re poor but because I know (CSU is) good.”
Come on people! I know the underdog makes for a good story and all, but we’re talking about an unranked team vs. the number 6 team in the country! Granted, the Rams have one game under thier belt. In that game they won by a touchdown to a team that turned the ball over 6 times, incluiding one that was on its way to the tying touchdown. They relied on five field goals from a rookie. They beat a team that is supposed to finish in the middle to bottom of the ACC.
I know Barnett doesn’t want to give the Rams and bulletin board fodder, but stand up for your self. Gary, please use some of this for the Buffs. Please!

YES! That’s what I’m talking about Katfish. We’re gonna rip this thing wide open.
Everything I’ve read about this game is how we’ll be lucky to win. What a load of crap! It’s even giving their fans confidence. I’m guessing its a ploy to sell more tickets.
I can’t wait until the Buffs wax the field with these crappy 2nd tier rams and give them a reality check. GO BUFFS!

That is exactly it. Everybody outside of Boulder needs to think that CSU has a chance to generate interest for the game. Blowing them out 56-0 as Matt Russel suggested last night on Fox Sports Rocky Mountain just isn’t nearly as intriging.
So just as they always do the media gives the people what they wnat to hear whether it is true or not..

Wow, Katfish! Guess you know now why people and the media were talking so much about the Rams this past week? CU was lucky the score was as close as it was (56-0, Marc?). Buff fans need to lose some of the arrogance and realize that CU is not the best team in the state. I will root for CU in every other game this year, but this was sweet! GO RAMS!!!

Mat Russel was the one who said 56-0 not me.
Yesterday CSU was the better team in the state. i have the utmost respect your coach and what he has done with your program. You should be very proud of your team.
Also please remember that your team cannot begin to talk about national recognition until you can win your conference. Good luck. We’ll be rooting for you.
