The question has arose plenty this week Who has more to lose? the Buffs or the Rams? Closely followed by Is this a rvialry?
I think there is no question that the Buffs have more to lose. They are expected to win by the nation media, by the pollsters, by me, by the Big XII, by the coaches, by the players themselves and even by some of the CSU faithful.
The point of the story is if the Buffs do lose there will be a lot of explaining to do. We will have to reevaluate all of the expectations of this year.
If the Rams do win it will be an exciting surprise to everyone asssociated with their program but if they do lose they don;t need to question their goals for the season. THey will just be more prepared to dominate their conference.
As for the rivalry question I guarantee it is. I hate the Rams this weekend.
So don’t take CSU lightly. Make sure you win the opener for the first time under Barnett. Don’t let the Rams have the last word. You can overcome the fact that the Rams have already played. Step up and Show the Freshman how it is done.
